Volunteer & Citizen Science

Anyone who cares about nature can help Wildscope — students, photographers, teachers, researchers and local residents.

Ways to help

  • Nature-trail assistance — help guide groups and keep programs safe and enjoyable.
  • Biodiversity documentation — record species and help organise observations.
  • Photography — photograph wildlife, plants and programs (ethically, without disturbance).
  • Research support — assist with surveys, data entry and literature.
  • Environmental education — help with school sessions, worksheets and Marathi content.
  • Community outreach — connect with villages, schools and local groups.
  • Citizen-science observations — share what you see near your home or on your travels.

Submit an observation

Seen an interesting bird, butterfly, snake, frog, plant or fungus around Murbad? Share up to three photos with the date and a general location. Every submission is reviewed by our team before anything is published, and published photos are always credited to you.

  • Photograph from a distance — never disturb, handle or bait an animal, or damage a plant.
  • Give only a general location (village or taluka). Never share the exact spot of nests, dens or rare species.
  • If you are not sure what it is, that is fine — leave the identification blank or give your best guess.

Please give only a general area. Do not share exact spots of nests, dens or rare plants.

Your name and email are used only to contact you about your submission. See our privacy policy.
